damn. i have no idea what's wrong with me right now, but at a guess?
acid-dripping, face-sucking, entrail-chewing aliens are living in my pelvis, nibbling on my various slimy inside bits whenever they get hungry, and raking long, diamond-tipped nails over everything else. or at least, that's what it feels like. makes me think of Heathers.
hanging out in the sunny okanagan this week, keeping an eye on dad's place and watching the ash drift gently out of the air at all hours, day or night. ash knows no euro-hours. apparently "they" have the okanagan mountain fire "under control" but have said that it could conceivably continue burning until christmas if the weather doesn't cooperate. i'm a little dubious about a fire that could burn for another 3 months being called under control, but what do i know from fires? i'm just your run-of-the-mill pyro, nothing fancy.
i'm also alternately wracked with sweats and chills, so i'm not sure if it's too cold in this house or too hot. knowing my dad, it's cold, but his thermostat is as simple to understand as your average tax manual, so i can't tell what it's telling me with its easy-to-read digital display, nor which buttons adjust temperature and which instruct the furnace to self-destruct. not that i'm suggesting for a moment there's a self-destruct button, but when a man has a special room in his basement with 8" thick concrete walls and a reinforced steel door, you gotta wonder.
still thinking about where things are going with Jason. or rather, how i feel about it. it's pretty clear that it won't last "forever" - whenever he leaves for school (or i leave for work, whichever comes first) that will probably be the end. even if we do get ourselves completely emotionally entangled, neither of us is willing to drop everything and move, nor to try the foolishness of maintaining a long distance relationship. anyway, it doesn't matter yet. right now it's just fun, and friendly, and naughty. and it's his birthday next week and i got him the coolest gift...
